The Psychedelic Press journal - issue XXXVII - is due out in a few weeks. This edition features Part 1 of Henrik Dahl’s deep dive into the drug writing of German author Ernst Junger. A controversial figure and close friend of Albert Hofmann, Junger’s main work of drug writing has never received an official translation into English, and Dahl deftly explores his drug adventures.
Elsewhere, Roger Keen explores the history of the drug memoir genre using writer Will Self’s autobiography as a guide post; there is psychedelic writing by Scott Bremer and Jacob Laba; and Liam Farquhar, in ‘Trauma Needs a Rebrand’, does an in-depth look at the models of psychedelic therapy currently in use, and why we need to consider different approaches.
